From idea to sketch

For the brooch to truly reflect your pet's individuality, choosing the right photograph is essential. It will be a responsible and exciting task. From millions of great photos, choosing the one. Feel free to send multiple photos — I'll be happy to help you choose the most suitable one.

I created guidelines to make selecting the right reference photo easier. If needed, I also offer the option to combine photographs. Along with photos, I invite you to share your wishes and ideas. I am open to new concepts.

Once we've chosen the best photo, I'll develop the brooch's visual image — a sketch and beading plan. This visual preview gives us a great starting point for discussion, such as composition changes. Don't be afraid to request adjustments — I want the portrait to be perfect for you, because you know your pet better than I do! Once beading begins, it will no longer be possible to make changes to the composition or colours.

From sketch to materials

Once the best inspiration photo and sketch are chosen, one of the most important stages follows — material selection and beading plan creation. Based on the chosen photo, I carefully match the most appropriate tones and textures. I'll share a video with you so you can peek into this creative process.

Beading begins only after the sketch and beading plan are approved.

I believe the key to success lies in combining both materials and techniques. I use various high-quality glass beads from my extensive collection — for example, Toho and Miyuki (Japan), Primero (Austria), Preciosa (Czech Republic), and others. I'm proud of my fairly large bead collection, which continues to grow with every trip. Beads and crystals are my favourite souvenirs. Noses, for both cats and dogs, are carefully sculpted and handcrafted from polymer clay. Eyes and other fine details, such as mouths, tongues, or teeth, are embroidered with Mouliné threads, paying great attention to every nuance.

Make your pet's portrait even more special by adding charming accessories — a flower wreath, fabric bow tie, crystal pendant, medallion with a name, or even your pet's favourite toy. Imagination has no limits!

  • In the first photo, horses are additionally adorned with crystal pendants along with beaded lace collars and harness details.
  • In the middle photo, you can see a dog portrait decorated with a fabric bow tie and a brooch pin adorned with crystals. It's ideally suited for holding an exhibition participant's number card. Practical and stylish!
  • In the third photo, you can see a dog portrait complemented with a wire flower wreath.

An additional fee applies for these details.

In my work, I use durable stainless steel brooch pins with sharp needles. The brooch clasp mechanism provides additional security and reliability. Each brooch is additionally marked with our recognisable logo, serving as both an authenticity symbol and a quality mark.

From materials to masterwork

These works can be considered a form of 'pixel art' — their creation requires 12 to 36 (or more) hours, often spanning several days of creative process. It is a delicate and refined art, resulting in a unique, I would even say soulful, treasure.

The reveal moment will be special! When the brooch is ready, you'll receive a video presentation of your pet's 'mini me'. The package arrival will also feel like a celebration. I wrap each package as a gift.

I use Omniva and DPD courier services, and also ship internationally.

How to care for your brooch?

  • To maintain the brooch's sparkle, remember to polish it with a microfibre cloth.
  • Avoid direct contact of chemical products — perfumes, hairspray — with the beadwork.
  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to prevent the brooch from fading and colour changes.
  • Store the brooch in a separate jewellery box or pouch to avoid scratches that could damage beads and metal details.
  • Remove the brooch before washing clothes.
  • Attach the brooch securely to clothing using the safety clasp for additional security.
  • Avoid wearing the brooch on delicate, fine fabrics.
  • If the brooch has been damaged, contact me about repair options. I'm here to help maintain your brooch in the best possible condition.
